Being among the thirteen French ski resorts with more than a million skier-days per season, Serre-Chevalier Vallée is an important French ski resort and the biggest ski area of the French Southern Alps. With its 410 hectares of groomed slopes and with 80% of the runs above 2,000m in altitude, Serre-Chevalier Vallée offers a great skiing experience and various snow sports practices (Nordic skiing, snowkite, mountain kart, ice climbing, ...). Serre-Chevalier Vallée is also invested in environment through investments for renewable energies such as solar panels, hydroelectricity and micro wind-turbines and through reducing energy consumption. Formed by three mountain villages and a town (Briançon), all connected to the ski area, Serre-Chevalier Vallée also offers all types of accommodations, cultural activities, activities with children and a taste of French food. Briançon, which has a direct access to ski slopes, also frequently hosts the Tour de France and its fortifications are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
